Nebraska Fur Harvesters 37th Annual Fall Convention Dawson County Fairgrounds Lexington, NEBRASKA September 23 vendor set up, September 24 & 25, Full schedule September 26, TBA, and tear downEducational demonstrations,New and used trapping/hunting/outdoor supplies, Antique traps and Collectibles. Come spend a relaxing weekend with like-minded folks. See all the new predator calling and trapping gear. Bring a list and save tons on shipping charges by purchasing annual supplies and equipment from your favorite mail-order suppliers at the convention. Learn directly from the pros and visit with them in person. This is a great, inexpensive, and time-saving way to learn and to increase your harvest rates! Here are just a few events planned for this year's Convention: Game mount display Fur garment fashion show Gun raffle for a Golden Boy 22LR or 6 Sterling 600 traps Raffle for 6 Sterling 600 traps Ladies raffle table Craft and rummage sale Kids raffle for a new BB gun (1 boys, 1 girls) Dunn hand made knife raffle Vendors ...trapping supplies and other outdoor related items. Additionally, Cast Iron Mystery Meat Cook Off.... Doug would like to host a cook off at the convention this year, he needs teams. Please call Doug Eskew at 308-537-2919 or 308-325-0243 if you would like to enter the contest. Rules as follows: 1. All contestants cook over wood heat ( wood provided). 2. One hour to build your bed of coals. 3. Following that hour, you will have 3 hours to cook the meat povided. 4. You will need to make a dessert of your liking for the judges. 5. We supply the wood and the meat. You bring the rest (desert, spices, pots, veggies, you get the idea..... 6. The Entry fee per team is $25.00 (as many people on the team as you like) 7.
